Defenseman Juuso Pulli, 30, will be staying at Ilves until the end of the 2021–2022 season.
After starting this season at Finnish Mestis team IPK Juuso Pulli joined Ilves in November on an open-ended tryout contract. The defenseman played three Liiga games and registered one assist during his tryout.
Over his six seasons in the Finnish Liiga, Pulli has played 164 regular season games and has 27 playoff appearances. The defenseman has also spent three seasons abroad in Austrian, Danish and Slovenian leagues. Last season he won the AlpsHL league championship while representing the Slovenian team HK Olimpija Ljubljana.
– Juuso Pulli has entered the team brilliantly. He has settled into our every day routines and is committed to his role and the ways the club works. His contract extension gives our defence continuity and depth, which we need especially during the IIHF U20 World Championship and the busy periods of the latter half of the season, says sport director Timo Koskela.
